• crunching at low speed

  There's a lot about this truck that's easy to love. However, we have had several vans screeching at low speed (reversing or forward if the car is moving relatively slowly). We brought in our first 2020 truck and replaced the dealer with a second 2020 truck. This truck also creaked after about 700-1,000 miles. For both there was no solution and Honda wanted to "find out" the problem. They also gave us a loaner car when the second one needed to be fixed and it creaked too! So be warned, this Honda has a problem with some or all of its new 2020 Odysseys.…

• Overall a maintenance nightmare

  We bought a new one from the dealer and had problems with this car from day one. We keep it because the value is well below what we owe on the loan. There are so many electrical problems that I can't begin to describe them all. Lately, whenever it rains, all the warnings and alarms in the car go on at start-up (brakes fail, engine fail, anti-lock brakes fail, power steering fail, all of them). As the car started to shake and the speed hit max windshield (what?) luckily the manufacturer's warranty expired 200 miles before that and Honda wasn't going to cover a dime. Today the passenger side sliding door stopped halfway, no beeps, no reverse, it just stopped. My wife says, "Oh, that's weird, it's usually the driver's side that won't lock." She is so used to the problem even though we have taken it 2 times now she is numb. Stopping at traffic lights triggers Idle Stop, which shuts down the engine, a setting that's impossible to disable every time you start the car. Meanwhile, when we release the brake, we get an Idle Engine Critical Failure Alert, which causes the car to jerk forward a bit when the engine starts, then stalls and starts again. The entertainment system that was supposed to have all those great apps available with the monthly hotspot service has been completely abandoned, the few that actually exist don't work. Audio settings are never saved. It's like the manufacturer has literally never heard of memory, nothing is saved to the car the next time you start it. Oh, the available collision system pummels us in the rain at every stop light where we hit something in the right front corner. If I could throw this car away I would never look back. Honda really let us down.…

  I bought this 2018 Van Elite Odyssey at the end of May and I love it. I had waited months for 2018 to go on sale so I could decide between the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander. Boy am I glad I waited. The other vehicles were very nice, but the Odyssey had much more room for passengers, golf clubs, and luggage on long trips. The ride is great, very smooth and it drives like a luxury car. My fuel economy was a combined 23.9 mpg per 6000 miles. I'm older and the safety features on this Elite make it a joy to drive. My favorite features are the forward collision and the blind spot. My only downside is that it takes a while to figure out the infotainment system.…
