Most US airlines wouldn't mind if I spoke Korean! The whole world doesn't speak your language, and remember that Coach is Coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are outside the control of the carriers, so please comment on that."

We didn't start boarding a 12-hour international flight until ten minutes before the scheduled departure time. The first time we were informed of the delay as a group was after we boarded the plane.”

Benefits:“I've flown to Australia and New Zealand on most airlines. Air NZ is by far the best. I mean, I fly the cattle class, so it's never going to be great. However, compared to the other airlines available, the seats are the most comfortable and have the most legroom. If you can afford the celestial sofa, do it. The food is edible (and for me most airlines aren't) and it was nice to be able to get wifi for just a few flight points.

Disadvantages:“It would be nice if the seats had footrests, but this particular 777 doesn't. I have short legs.”

Something is wrong with their system. You serve what you give us to choose from and the system only records for one passenger."

I didn't want to eat it but I wanted a bag and that makes a lot of difference. If you go online it costs 39 Australian dollars, but if you go at the airport it is AU$160. That's just rude and the staff was not helpful.

We were at the airport at least 2 and a half hours before boarding. The error could have been corrected, we were told that an email from Virgin is required to confirm and amend the booking. We photograph the passport details and send them. We called the boo website, called Virgin, were put on hold for 25 minutes while the booking site called Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us! The fact is that it was not a holiday - it was to visit and help the 87-year-old father-in-law, who had fallen and broken his back. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

Benefits:“The boarding process was efficient and the seat was comfortable enough for the Pacific class bus. It was a definite bonus that there was no one in the middle seat. The food was really good and I appreciated being able to get snacks during the flight. The crew was efficient, the IFE is very good and the overall experience was very positive. Plus it served it for dinner on the way back They make delicious Kapiti ice cream for the adults to eat but no ice cream for the kids to eat so my kids were very disappointed and my husband and I shared ours with them Again not a terrible insult just a little annoying ."

My flight plans were changed by Qatar Airways a few days before departure but the only thing I had to do was confirm I found my seats and all other details intact, excellent.

Disadvantages:"The change to my flight plan for the entire trip was made without giving me options (round trip). It would have caused me inconvenience if the time change had not allowed me to adjust my plans."

Disadvantages:“This applies to Qatarfigjta from Harare to Doha and from Doha to Washington DC and vice versa. I will not report each one individually. Food - my daughter could barely eat and the vegetarian meals were ice cold most of the time. It was difficult to eat at the airport in Qatar because the food is not only terrible (Burger King and bad Asian food) but also outrageously expensive. Our media system didn't work for one leg. ** Too many ads in your media system. Every time you watch a new TV episode you have to watch 5-6 ads for uninteresting stuff and the same thing every time. Put our iPads in checked luggage for flights from Harare to the US as we drove through Qatar.*** I asked for quiet seats and got seats near the kitchen and bathroom even though I booked hours in advance. One leg had my 10 year old daughter and me in different queues even though I checked in 4-5 hours before the flight. **The staff took my carry-on bag without my permission and without informing me - it was stressful to find it."

Disadvantages:“Since I was in the queue that started a new leg on the plane (row 26?), the crew walked in front of me throughout the entire flight. Sometimes when my legs were straight they would go over me, so it got annoying."

Benefits:“First of all, I would like to start by saying that virtually all airlines are better than the big ones that operate in the US (American, United and Delta) and Qatar Airways is among those. The entertainment selection was excellent, the best of any flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were again excellent, much better than those on American airlines (I'm American, FYI)."

Disadvantages:"The food was terrible. Of course we know that about airplane food but I've been on Qatar Airways flights with good food in the past so I know it can be better. Also I sat in the baby section which also this is where they put people with long legs. This is nobody's fault, but suffice it to say: DO NOT sit next to 4 5 month olds for a 15 hour flight! Interestingly, as all the flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight heard them as there were many conservative Arabs from Qatar or Saudi Arabia on board (i.e. those who were taught not to listen to or respect women) some frustrating sides to witness but obviously it wasn't Airline fault Poor women!”

Instead, I was offered what looked like bright pink yogurt paired with fluorescent orange juice, along with the Indian vegetarian option. The accompanying 'muffin' seemed to consist of the following ingredients: flour, oil. Suffers from the "African flight doesn't matter" syndrome when it comes to staff and entertainment. I expected more from Qatar - I'm coming back to Emirates!”

Also, when boarding at HK airport, people with disabilities and families were asked at the same time what led to a queue very long stretch of several hundred people."

Disadvantages:“Very uncomfortable with POOR AIR FLOW, midway in economy cabin, next to window (seat 44,000). It was like trying to breathe through a straw. I asked the flight attendant if she could check the airflow and her response was that the temperature was 23°C and everyone else had blankets. My concern was not the temperature but the FLOW. So I went to the back cabin (6 rows back) and the airflow was much better and I was able to sleep. In short, there is an outflow of airflow from a mid-economy cabin on center AC jets. They should resolve this by reinstalling the air jets or checking the actual airflow in these jets. This is very uncomfortable on long flights. Not sure I would fly this jet again because of that.

Disadvantages:“The missed flight to SFO was replaced the next day with another flight to LAX and then from LAX to SFO via United as a domestic flight. This is a horrible experience as we had to check all the bags through customs and check the bags again with all the weighing issues. What's worse is that, to get from the international terminal to the United domestic counter, we had to drag our bags along the sidewalk from one end of the airport to the other. We will never choose that option again.”

Business class was relatively empty, but the airline didn't do a offer to upgrade to business, on flight. Many other airlines are doing this these days. Food is average at best. I prefer high quality food, even if I have to pay more.

Disadvantages:"Crew members were a bit rash at times, ignoring people in drinks and the like, and not being particularly friendly when asked to reset course (this hasn't happened to me, but I've experienced this with others ( East Indians actually.) The economy is really tight and terrible for international flights. I wish I could pay better, but the increase in cost is beyond my budget. The food on this particular flight didn't seem as well prepared or presented as usual, but it was still plentiful and tasty enough."
